Siobhan M Allgood was born in Rockledge, PA, a small suburb to Philadelphia. Before Siobhan decided to become a chef, she was a ballerina, and she began her life performing with The Russian Moscow Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet and Metropolitan Ballet. Siobhan always loved cooking, having spent most of her childhood next to her grandfather in his small butcher shop in Northeast Philadelphia. After graduating from La Salle University, Siobhan decided to pursue her lifelong desire to work with food.
In 2006, Siobhan moved to Baja California Sur in Mexico to study the regional cuisine. In Baja, Siobhan had a chance to converse with local women who created some of the most spectacular dishes in their small home kitchens. The women of Baja taught Siobhan some of their secret family recipes and techniques, and you can often see these unique characteristics in her cooking.
In 2007 Siobhan moved to San Diego, where she apprenticed under Jeff Thursten at the Prado restaurant. In early 2008, Siobhan traveled back home to Philadelphia, where she took on the position of Head Chef/ Kitchen Manager for a pub in Northeast Philadelphia, just blocks from the site of where her grandfather’s butcher shop once stood. In June 2008, Siobhan took on the position of Executive Chef at McKenna's Irish Pub in the Art Museum district, where she began to be recognized for her talent (see Press page for more details).
In 2009 Siobhan accepted a position to work with Georges Perrier and Chris Scarduzio at the renowned Table 31, where she learned French precision and embraced Italian cooking. At Table 31, Siobhan sharpened her skills and learned the techniques that now give her an undeniably unique approach to fine cuisine.
Siobhan currently owns her own business as a Private Chef and Restaurant Consultant in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to that she recently was the Chef de Cuisine at West Side Gravy in Collingswood, NJ.
